Amentum Innovation & Experimentation Coordinator in Fort Shafter, Hawaii
Amentum is seeking a dynamic and agile Innovation & Experimentation Coordinator to support Theater Army modernization efforts through the execution of a process-oriented program under the U.S. Army-Pacific (USARPAC) Concepts Directorate as part of the Experimentation Branch at Fort Shafter, Hawaii.

You will aid senior-level strategic planning and briefings, including preparing formal papers and background information for USARPAC and USINDOPACOM senior leader consumption. You'll also provide research and analysis of various technologies, capabilities, military strategies, assessments, and acquisition pathways to close material gaps. This position will identify experimentation focus areas, inform experiment integration efforts within exercises, and help develop and identify new capabilities across the Theater Army portfolio.
The ever-increasing demands associated with emerging capability needs to compete and counter threat systems in the Pacific AOR requires non-traditional approaches to properly posture units to meet mission critical requirements. You will support innovative approaches to integrating emerging technologies as well as close coordination with INDOPACOM J8, Service Components, research labs, industry, OSD, and Joint Staff to bring enduring solutions into the theater.
Primary Roles and Responsibilities:
Aid senior-level strategic planning, discussions, and briefings to include development of innovative approaches to address service component gaps regarding novel, multi-domain, and/or autonomous solutions for experimentation.
Coordinate various technologies with mission partners and operational units to align experiment activities within the USARPAC exercise series known as Operation Pathways.
Utilize experience and knowledge to execute the Pacific Innovation & Persistent Experimentation LINEup (PIPELINE).
Navigate complex organizational structures to assist in determining roadmaps that may lead to capability solutions relevant to USARPAC priorities.
Support shall include reviewing experiment funding and gathering and compiling related data and recommending prioritization of innovation-related funding requirements.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Approximately 20% travel annually, both to Mainland U.S. and Allied and Partner nations, in support of conferences, planning sessions, and exercises.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree
At least 10 years of combined experience in conventional and/or unconventional military operations, capability development and/or policy.
At least 3 years of experience at a Combatant Command or Service Component HQ.
At least 3 years of experience in the Indo-Pacific Area of Operations.
Familiar with USARPAC Theater Campaign Plan, INDOPACOM Theater Campaign Plan (TCP), Deliberate and Crisis Action Plans, and Operations Plans (OPLANS).
Familiar with the U.S. Army’s Multi Domain Operations doctrine and future Army Operating Concept of 2040.
Familiar with the Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC) associated activities in support of multi- and bi-lateral exercises.
Experience in writing reports, graphics, and information papers.
Experience analyzing operational data applicable to experiment assessments (MOEs/MOPs).
Proficient at Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Must have an active Top-Secret clearance and be SCI eligible. (Please note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a clearance)
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's Degree and/or attendance at Service Command and General Staff College.
Experience coordinating with other Department of Defense (DoD) entities, including the Joint Staff, the Office of the Secretary of Defense, and INDOPACOM's Service Components as well as non-DoD organizations to include industry, academia, and foreign partners & allies.
Experience with member of the Army Modernization Enterprise to include ASA(ALT) (PEOs/PMs) and Army Futures Command (labs, capability development integration directorates, capability managers).
Familiar with USARPAC’s Operation Pathways and INDOPACOM’s priority exercises.
The salary range for this position is $130K to $160K. (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
