Amentum Property Manager in Hawthorne, Nevada

Amentum is seeking a Property Manager to join our team in Hawthorne, Nevada to support the Hawthorne Army Depot. The Property Manager will report to the Program Manager and ensures all property management procedures and associated official records are maintained under the terms of the contract, and that applicable property controls and procedures are applied to all subcontractors, vendors and all customer requirements are achieved. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Establishes and defines program-specific property procedures for the management of property (government, customer, and Amentum owned) in accordance with specific contract, FAR, DFAR, Amentum Property Management Plan and other applicable requirements.

  • Ensures all property management procedures and associated official records are maintained under the terms of the contract, and that applicable property controls and procedures are applied to all subcontractors, vendors and all customer requirements are achieved.

  • Monitors the acquisition, storage, utilizations, transfer, and disposal of property.

  • Analyzes support trends, resolves any adverse trends/reports, and then implements corrective actions.

  • Responsible for property control reports required by the Government.

  • Assists with or conducts training for staff and program property control personnel, to include system of record automation training.

  • Support system testing requirements for updates and releases.

  • Ensures that personnel assigned custodianship or responsibility for property (GP or Amentum-owned) understand their responsibilities and effectively and efficiently implement the Property Management Plan and that new employees receive instructions on property management procedures.

  • Ensures that property reviews and self-assessments are conducted in accordance with applicable contract and regulatory requirement.

  • Ensures inventories of Amentum and GP are scheduled and performed as required by the contract and the Program Property Management Plan and Program Inventory Plan

  • Responsible for reporting and reviewing information provided during the investigation of lost, damaged, destroyed government-furnished parts and property as applicable.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years or older.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, logistics, or associated discipline; may substitute two (2) additional years of experience in related field for each year of college.

Or, Associate degree in a business, supply chain management, logistics,

or associated discipline, 3 years’ experience in management of

industrial/supply chain management processes and 2 years of supervi

sory experience.

Or, High school diploma/equivalent, 5 years’ experience in management

of industrial/supply chain management and 3 years supervisory

experience.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid State driver’s license.

  • Must be willing to work overtime, varying hours and/or rotating shifts.

  • Must be willing and able to work in an industrial environment that is in close proximity to and/or in a munition's demilitarization facility.

  • Must also be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate level of government security clearance as well as a clearance through the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms and be favorably vetted through the NCIC III System.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Government Property Accountability Procedures.

  • Knowledge of government property, acquisition, receiving, identification, records, movement, storage, physical inventories, reporting, consumption, utilization, maintenance, subcontracts, disposition, and close-outs.

  • Must be a United States or naturalized citizen able to obtain and maintain Hawthorne Army Depot (HWAD) site access.

  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Able to operate a computerized based terminal and proficient with Microsoft applications (i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Must maintain fitness-for-duty standards to perform the essential functions of the position, to include any HWAD drill, contingency and/or emergency requirement.

  • Must be able to work in a constant state of alertness in a safe manner. Perform safety sensitive duties.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Certification through National Property Management Association (NPMA) as Certified Professional Property Specialist (CPPS), Certified Professional Property Administrator (CPPA), Certified Professional Property Manager (CPPM), or equivalent of American Production & Inventory Control Society (APICS), which is now Educational Society for Resource Management. Prefer CPPM (Certified Professional Property Manager) through NPMA or military /government property management experience.

  • Knowledge and skills associated with automated systems of record (ex: Maximo, Amentum MRO, DPAS, GFEBS, PIEE)

  • Significant technical procedure development experience.

  • Must possess the ability to formulate reports, procedures, and written instructions.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to coordinate and prioritize projects and adapting to changes as they occur is highly desirable.

  • SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assign, supervise and direct work activities of assigned personnel.

  • Responsible for performance evaluations of assigned personnel.

  • Responsible for training and development of assigned personnel.

  • Counsel assigned personnel on company policies, procedures, performance, and personnel issues.

  • Initiate and justify personnel actions and recommend salary adjustments.

  • Other: Review work of assigned personnel for compliance with policies and procedures, effective of coordination, technical accuracy, safety, surety, and for attainment of objectives.
