Amentum Supply Depot Operations (SDO) Superintendent, Ammo in Hawthorne, Nevada

Amentum is seeking a Supply Depot Operations Superintendent to join our team in Hawthorne, Nevada to support the Hawthorne Army Depot. The Supply Depot Operations Superintendent will report to the Supply Depot Operations Manager and will be responsible for direction and oversight of all inventory space allocation and utilization, stock control, accountability, traffic, and commercial transportation activities for wholesale supplies consisting of Ammunition Stocks, Accountability, Transportation, and Traffic Management.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for direction and oversight of all inventory space allocation and utilization, stock control, accountability, traffic, and commercial transportation activities for wholesale supplies consisting of ammunition stocks, Accountability, Transportation, and Traffic Management.

  • Responsible for executing all orders and directives received from the SDO Manager.

  • Prepares long range schedules reflecting the staffing over time to ensure that the projected workload is supported, and the primary mission of receipt, storage and issue is not compromised.

  • Has the authority to recommend hiring, firing, promotion and change of status of employees.

  • Works with the Supply Depot Operations Manager to establish goals and objectives for the Organization. Develops and maintains company policies relating to the Supply Depot Operations to ensure compliance with contractual requirements. Ensues timely and accurate submission of all CDRL’s, billing and proposals for SDO.

  • Provides input into safety, environmental and security requirements for Supply Depot Operations. Ensures compliance with Company and government guidelines and regulations pertaining to the responsibilities of this position. Ensures availability of resources assigned and/or allocated to Supply Depot Operations for the execution of the mission, functions, and contractual requirements.

  • Provides oversight, mentoring, and leadership within the guidelines of the Defense Industry and Company Initiative, (Ethics) and Diversity programs.

  • Develops strategic plans and mapping related to Supply Depot Operations for Amentum and the Hawthorne Army Depot.

  • Performs other duties of the same or lower level of difficulty, as needed.

  • Maintains high ethical standards, overall values of the business, and the Code of Ethics and Standards of Business Conduct to include cooperating during Company investigations; treat all individuals fairly and with respect. Reports potential or known safety or environmental hazards to the appropriate dept. or personnel.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years or older and high school diploma/equivalent.

  • 3 years of Supervisor experience

  • B.S. /B.A. in a technical discipline, management or related field required. (An equivalent combination of formal college/university education and directly related job experience may be considered.) or minimum of ten (6) years’ experience in Military or (6) years Munitions and Logistics and/ or Supply Depot Operations.

  • Must be computer literate in common software applications and able to operate general office equipment.

  • Must be willing and able to be at work when scheduled and maintain a good attendance record. Must be willing to work overtime.

  • Must be willing and able to work in a procedurally compliant be willing and able to work in an environmental and safety compliant environment.

  • Must be willing and able to wear various levels of personal protective equipment.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid State driver’s license.

  • Intermediate knowledge of LMP

  • Must possess a high degree of knowledge of safety, environmental, security, contractual and regulatory requirements for Supply Depot Operations.

  • Must have knowledge or proficiency in all tasks in accountability.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.

  • Must be able to research and have the foresight to properly staff for anticipated or projected workloads while adhering to the governing PWS and contractual requirements and must be able to prepare bid and pricing information.

  • Must be able to communicate in an effective and professional manner, in English, using all std. forms of business communication. Must possess sufficient computer hardware and software proficiency to be able to perform all job duties in a timely, professional and effective manner.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain all certificates as required by Amentum’s Master Training Plan.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid State of Nevada driver’s license. Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate level of government security clearance well as a clearance through the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Government contracting experience highly desirable.
