Amentum Sr. Operations Manager/Analyst in RICHMOND, Virginia

This position is not currently funded and is contingent upon the award of a new contract to Amentum. At this time, Amentum is seeking candidates to fulfill contingent roles. The expected award timeframe is Fall/Winter 2024.

The Senior Operations Manager/Analysts will be responsible for analyzing data and information to help the U.S. Army make decisions. They will work with a team of analysts, junior and senior in rank, to gather and interpret data from various sources.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Performing analysis of processes to identify areas for process improvement and recommending solutions to management

  • Developing reports on performance metrics to help management teams assess the effectiveness of current programs and make improvements as needed

  • Developing and updating procedures and work instructions to ensure that all employees are following procedures correctly

  • Analyzing business processes to identify areas for improvement or automation

  • Providing training to employees on new processes or best practices that were identified during the analysis

  • Performing analysis of data to identify trends or recommend changes in products or services offered by the organization

  • Conducting audits of existing processes to identify weaknesses and make recommendations for improvement

  • Communicating findings from audits or studies in written reports that can be understood by non-technical audiences

  • Developing and implementing new systems or processes based on research findings

Minimum requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent additional work experience

  • Minimum 3+ years of Army PEO program management support experience

  • Must be proficient with SharePoint, MS Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project, Word, and Access), as well as office equipment such as scanners, copiers, fax machines and video teleconferencing

  • Minimum of 25 years of experience in presentation design, project planning, and operational support for a government program/office, ideally in support of a U.S. Army agency

  • Experience within the last 5 years in a Department of the Army or Department of Defense organization, at 06 level program office or above

  • Expert in the use of various computer (hardware and software) and peripheral packages/devices including Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Adobe Acrobat Professional version

  • Must have practical experience and functional knowledge of acquisition strategies IAW DoD 5000 series and possess an understanding of and experience with U.S Army ACAT 1 program office

  • Good problem-solving skills

  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently and in a team with staff at all levels and across organizational teams and subordinate programs.

  • Must have an active secret US government clearance. Note: US citizenship is required to maintain a secret clearance

Preferred experience:

  • Master's degree preferred in communications, organizational effectiveness, or related field
