Amentum Avionics Systems Integration Engineer in Wright Patterson AFB, Ohio
Amentum is seeking a dedicated Avionics Systems Integration Engineer to join our team at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base near Dayton, Ohio supporting the Air Force's B-2 Division.
You will apply critical thinking, a high level of engineering knowledge, and past experiences of Department of Defense (DoD), United States Air Force (USAF), and common engineering/scientific principles, processes and procedures to improve performance and sustainability of existing and future AF and joint service weapon systems within the B-2 Directorate of the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center.
A specific focus will be on tactical data link systems, position location, display systems, digital inter-phone systems, and identification capabilities for application to military operations. You will support Aircraft Information Management Systems requirements, testing, certification, and spectrum management requirements, testing, and certification. Your knowledge of Communication Navigation Surveillance/Air Traffic Management (CNS/ATM) requirements, policies, and regulations will be essential in defining requirements, completing CNS/ATM compliance matrices, and supporting testing and certification of aircraft and supporting systems.
Perform development and integration of platform software requirements to include mission planning.
Support information management assessment and authorization to include development of security controls, test approaches, and risk identification and mitigation to obtain an Interim Authority to Operate or Authority to Operate.
Assist in the interoperability certification process to include coordinating with Air Force Command and Control Integration Center for program clearance into Air Force System Operability Test and Joint Interoperability Test Command testing.
Perform engineering tasks in support of development activities including requirements definition, design, integration, test, and transition to operations. Provides assistance with the Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System requirements management.
Apply detailed knowledge of avionics engineering in support of avionics subsystem definition, development, integration, all verification methods to include review of ICD, sustainment, modeling/simulation, T&E, and model based systems engineering.
Perform analysis, requirement analyses, and system capacity analysis, investigate alternative solutions and architecture trade-offs, make assessments, support operations concept development, and document results.
Review and/or develop draft systems engineering documents in support of Milestone reviews and events.

ABET accredited Bachelor's degree in Engineering
At least 15 years of experience in an aeronautical/avionics engineering discipline
Experience in Communication Navigation Surveillance/Air Traffic Management (CNS/ATM) requirements, policies, and regulations
Experience in DoD tactical data link systems, position location, display systems, digital inter-phone systems, and identification capabilities
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel) and other standard integrated software applications
Due to the nature of the work, must be a U.S. citizen
Must have an active Top Secret security clearance
Expertise in development, integration, and verification methods to include review of ICD, sustainment, modeling/simulation, T&E, and model based systems engineering
Experience in Developmental Test & Evaluation (DT&E) and Initial Operational Test & Evaluation (IOT&E) related activities
Excellent communication, inter personal, organizational and analytical skills
